Youth Protection Training
Youth Protection is a program designed to protect our Scouts from anything that might be considered inappropriate. It’s designed to educate the parents and leaders about the proper precautions he/she needs to take to protect our scouts from being in harm’s way. It also helps the parents and the leaders from being accused falsely of any allegations of inappropriate behavior.
All parents are strongly encouraged to complete the Youth Protection Training (YPT) course that is found on the My.Scouting website. This course is required for all adult leaders, but also recommended for all adults that will come in contact with a Scout.
The safety and well-being of our youth is of paramount importance to our organization, and integral to everything we do. We must continue our commitment to providing a safe and secure environment at all times for all our youth members. There are three modules and passing the exam to complete the course (less than 90 minutes total), after which it may take up to 24 hours to see your certificate on the My.Scouting website.
