Pack Leadership Resources

Dear Pack #317 Leader,

First of all, THANK YOU! Your choice to volunteer as a leader in our pack places you into an elite group of parents who have chosen to be active participants in making our Cub Scouting program successful. There is an old saying in Scouting, that it "Only takes an hour a week" to be a volunteer, but anyone with experience in leadership knows that there are countless hours of preparation that go into providing our Scouts with a quality program.

Now that you have made the choice to volunteer your precious time to the benefit of our Pack's children, I now ask you to follow through on that commitment by looking into leadership training. There are several steps to consider on your path to becoming a trained leader:

  1. REQUIRED - Complete Youth Protection Training on my.Scouting.

  2. RECOMMENDED - Complete the Den Leader or Committee Member training courses on my.Scouting.

  3. OPTIONAL - Attend the Three Fires Council Training Academy in November.

  4. ADVANCED - Participate in Wood Badge training.

Through our combined efforts, we will continue to offer our youth the highest-quality Cub Scouting program in the area.

Yours in Scouting,
Rob Crawley | Committee Chair
