Additionally, you can sell via online direct delivery to family members all over the country via the Trail's End website. Finally, we are offering wagon sales again this year - - if your Scout wants to go door-to-door, they can checkout inventory from the Pack. See our Popcorn Kernel, Mrs. Watgen for details!
Our Scouting program is only as strong as the volunteers that support our Pack. We have many positions within the Pack that can fit with your skills and availability:
Assistant Leaders: weekly commitment to a Den
Committee Members: monthly commitment to the Pack
Event Helpers: occasional support for activities
If you are interested in having a more formal role in the Pack, please contact Mr. Crawley.
The Pack Committee will meet on Monday, September 19th, from 7pm-9pm, at the Church. Parents are always welcome to attend.
Join us October 01-02, 2022, for a fun overnight Shooting Sports Family Camp. After enjoying a fun day on the ranges, Cub Scouts and their families are invited to enjoy an outdoor movie experience complete with a concession stand. Cap the evening off by camping under the stars!!! You must register online for the Shooting Sports activity and the campout separately due to limited range space. Troops will be on hand to help Scouts and families set up camp and offer Scouts the chance to learn new Scout Skills.
This event is included in your Council Fee! Come enjoy the Great Outdoors with friends and family!
The annual Cub Scout Advancement Day is scheduled for October 01, 2022, at Hoover Forest Preserve. We will post more information as it becomes available.
It’s never too early to start planning for Halloween! We will have our Pack Halloween Party on Tuesday, October 25th at 7pm at Camp Kishwaukee. This is also Scouts BSA Troop 71's Haunted Hike event, so we will get to experience what the boys in the Troop have cooked-up for Halloween frights. There will be activities and snacks for the whole family to participate in!
One of our annual traditions is to decorate a Christmas Tree at Brookfield Zoo. This tradition is quite fun for our Scouts, as they make decorations for the tree at a den meeting then we all gather at the zoo to put them on our tree. We will be trimming our tree on Sunday, November 13, 2022, beginning at 10:00am. All Scouts and their families should meet near the carousel upon your arrival. We will then move as a group to our tree to decorate. After we are done decorating, your family is free to enjoy the remainder of the day visiting the zoo animals!
If you have a current zoo membership, we ask that you use it for admission and parking for your family. Admission tickets and parking passes for families that do not have a current zoo membership will be distributed at the den meetings on November 7th.
Parking: Main (North) Parking Lot
Meet-up: Sunday, November 13, 2022, 10:00am at the Carousel
Tree Trimming: location to be announced
Uniforming: Activity Scout Shirt ("Class B")
